Finding the perfect candidate on One Degree and wondering how to get in touch? Here’s a straightforward guide to sending a connection request and starting meaningful conversations that could lead to a great hire.
- Search and browse: start by using our Smart Search bar to input your hiring criteria such as job title, work type and location based on the role you're looking to fill. Browse through the list of displayed candidates, reviewing their profiles to assess their skills, experience, qualifications and more.
- Get ready to message: once you've found the candidate you'd like to connect with, hit the 'send details' button from inside their profile view. This will bring up our handing request to connect form.
- Add some detail about the opportunity: we’ve simplified the connection process with a our handy connect request form. Add top-line detail about the opportunity to give the jobseeker more detail before you connect directly. Helpful inputs include:
- A little bit about the job.
- Where the role will be based - location and work place.
- Job opportunity type.
- Budget if the position is for permanent, contract or both.
- Availability or start date.
- And if for a specific contract, what is the duration of that contract period.
4. Monitor Responses: After sending your message, keep an eye on your message icon to see if the candidate has accepted the connection and is open to further contact.
