We know how important it is to have all the details before making a big decision. That’s why we ensure you’re equipped with everything you need when a company reaches out about a potential job opportunity. Here’s how it works:

Request to connect

When an employer identifies your profile as a strong match, they’ll send you a connection request. This message is your first glimpse into the opportunity—see an example of the form below.

Opportunity detail

To make sure you’re informed, employers are required to include key details in their connection request, such as:

• Opportunity overview: what the role entails and expectations along with a copy of a job spec or more information about the company if available.
• Work setup: whether the opportunity is on-site, hybrid, or fully remote.
• Budget: expected salary or hourly rate, so you know where you stand.
• Employment type: is this role a permanent or contract opportunity. 
• Start date: when they’re hoping to get the ball rolling.

Review and take the next step

Once the employer completes the request, they’ll hit send, and the connection form will appear in your One Degree inbox. A copy will also be sent to the email address linked to your profile for easy access.

If the opportunity looks like a great fit and you’re ready to learn more, simply click the ‘I’m Interested’ button. From there, you can send a message directly to the company using our in-platform chat to start the conversation.
